OUR PURPOSE

The Ambrose Centre For Religious Liberty has been established to:

(1) advocate, protect and lobby for religious freedom and/or liberty both within Australia and overseas;

(2) promote the right to public expression of all religious beliefs;

(3) defend the right of religious organisations and institutions to establish their presence in Australia and to manifest their genuinely held religious views;

(4) assist religious organisations and institutions and individuals to overcome any oppression or inhibition they may face;

(5) assist religious organisations and institutions and individuals who have or may have been discriminated against, or otherwise adversely affected, as a consequence of their religious beliefs;

(6) promote the public education of the respect for and the benefits of religious freedom and/or liberty at schools and at other forums and by the dissemination of written and other material;

(7) review existing laws and/or regulations which appear or may appear to restrict and/or limit religious freedom and/or liberty and to make recommendations for amendment;

(8) examine complaints concerning the free exercise of religious freedom and/or liberty and give advice and make representation, both legal and otherwise, in relation thereto;

(9) participate in the public debate and advocate that religious liberties and values strengthen democratic principles; and

(10) co-operate with ither organisations in Australia and overseas with similar objects to those of the Company.
